The Columbus State Faculty Idea Exchange (FIX) is the premier teaching conference in Central Ohio.
About this Event

The Columbus State Faculty Idea Exchange (FIX) is an annual summer conference hosted by the CSCC Instructional Success Committee (ISC) that provides a forum where college educators from Central Ohio and beyond can share and compare best teaching practices.

College teachers from every institution are invited!

FIX 2025 is scheduled for June 6, 2025 from 8:30 am - 1:30 pm at the Columbus State Community College WD Conference Center.

We are excited to announce that this year’s keynote and plenary speaker is Dr. Tamara Rosier, a dynamic speaker and author of the successful book "Your Brain's Not Broken", which applies her experiences as a professor, college administrator, leadership consultant, and founder of the ADHD Center of West Michigan to help educators understand the skills necessary to reach learners across the entire spectrum of abilities.

In addition to the featured speaker, breakout sessions focusing on student success and best teaching practices will be presented by faculty and other education experts from higher-ed institutions of Central Ohio (and beyond).

PLEASE SAVE THE DATE AND REGISTER ABOVE TO JOIN US FOR ANOTHER CAN'T-MISS OPPORTUNITY! SEE YOU AT FIX 2025!

To register, click the orange "Reserve a Spot" box at the top.

Conference Program Coming Soon - includes all info such as session times/locations, presentation titles and abstracts, presenter bios, and more

___________________________________

The free registration is made possible by the collaborative effort of many groups and individuals at Columbus State Community College. Despite the conference's rapid growth and popularity, our goal is to maintain the sense of partnership, collaboration, and idea exchange (rather than for profit or gain), all in the name of student success.

Thank you for being a part of this unique professional development opportunity!

Special thanks to the following for their support: Dr. Rebecca Butler, the WD Event Center staff, and the CSCC Instructional Success Committee (host).

FAQs

Who is FIX for? The FIX conference is geared towards college educators who are looking for innovative ideas to improve classroom success.

Where can I see the program/schedule of presentations? The conference program is in digital format. COMING SOON!

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? The COTA CMAX rapid transit route runs along Cleveland Avenue from Downtown to Polaris and includes stops at Columbus State. Please check the COTA website for available bus routes to Columbus State. Visitors may register their license plates and pay for parking by using the Parking.com app or any of the methods available on the lot signage. Click here for CSCC Parking Map (the conference site is labeled as "WD" on the map). Click here for CSCC Visitor Parking FAQs.

Will lunch be provided? No. Unlike previous years, the event costs, state budget limitations, and free registration prevents us from providing lunch at FIX 2025. However, the schedule has been adjusted so that the conference is completed by lunch time. That said, there are plenty of food options in the nearby downtown Columbus area.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions? For all inquiries, contact us at [email protected].

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? Upon registering for the event, you can show your printed ticket, show your QR code via your mobile device, or simply give your name.
