Empty Bowls of Denton is a non-profit organization that has been fighting hunger in the Denton community since 2000. It is a ministry of Christ The Servant Lutheran Church in Denton, TX. This is our 26th year hosting an Empty Bowls Fundraiser in Denton!
Every October, Empty Bowls holds a fundraising luncheon where ticket-holders select a handcrafted artisan bowl of their choice which symbolizes the "Empty" bowls of those without enough to eat. Ticket holders are served a simple lunch of bread and soup. Local restaurants donate the soup and the bread. Local artists donate the handcrafted ceramic, wood, and glass bowls.
All proceeds from this benefit are given to assist the Denton Community Food Center and Our Daily Bread.
This year (2025) our fundraising luncheon is Saturday, October 18 at Harvest House, 331 Hickory St., Denton, TX 76201, from 12pm – 2pm. Tickets are $35 each at the door.
Tickets for the In-Person Luncheon are available on EventBrite in advance of the event starting in September for $30, or at the door on the day of the event for $35.
