About this Event
125 Years of Leading the Way to Wealth: A New Paradigm for Youth Economic Empowerment.
Description
In 2022, the Coppin State University (CSU) Center for Strategic Entrepreneurship took a major step toward transforming youth and young adult entrepreneurship through support from the Annie E. Casey Foundation. The 2024 release of the Excellence in Entrepreneurial Learning (EXCEL): Equipping Baltimore Youth & Emerging Adults for Opportunity marked the completion of a two-year descriptive analysis of entrepreneurship instructional programs in Baltimore City. This study was followed by six months of engagement with communities and key stakeholders—including elected officials, institutional leaders, funders, and financial sector leaders—to deepen understanding of the EXCEL findings. EICAC ’25 will continue the collaboration of ecosystem stakeholders to build a data-informed system that equips young people with the tools needed to maximize opportunities.
EICAC '25 will bring together youth, young adults, educators, corporate leaders, funders, public officials, and other stakeholders for a dynamic day of learning, networking, and mobilization around youth and young adult economic empowerment. Building on the success of EICAC '24, which welcomed over 450 attendees, including more than 75 Baltimore City high school students—this year’s conference will offer opportunities to:
- Explore the link between entrepreneurship and workforce competencies that help learners maximize opportunities.
- Identify strategies to enhance returns on investment for funders and sponsors.
- Define the economic, social, and technological infrastructure necessary for sustainable outcomes and continuous improvement.
- Amplify the voices of youth and young adults in shaping conversations about success.
- Develop intentional messaging that inspires and prepares learners for opportunity readiness.
- Design innovative collaboration models between public, private, academic, and community partners.
- Strengthen the role of academic innovation centers in transforming the economic futures of young people navigating a complex opportunity landscape.
Join us at EICAC '25 as we work together to create lasting change in youth and young adult economic empowerment.
