2025 Chanteuse Concert Series: Lena Prima

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation proudly announces the 2025 Chanteuse Concert Series, presented by Goldfarb Financial.

Kicking off the series, Lena Prima will perform live on March 7th at the George and Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center (1225 N. Rampart Street). Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the concert begins promptly at 8:00 PM.

The Chanteuse Concert Series celebrates New Orleans' outstanding women vocalists.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased on Eventbrite. Seating is general admission and limited, so advance registration is recommended. All proceeds from this concert series directly benefit the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation.

Held annually during Women’s History Month, Chanteuse is produced by the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation and serves as a celebration of women's contributions to New Orleans music. This concert series also represents a significant initiative of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation to confront and reduce gender disparities in the local community and music industry.

Seating is general admission and limited, so please register in advance. All proceeds from this concert series directly support the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation.

About Lena Prima:

Lena Prima, the youngest daughter of music legend Louis Prima, is a seasoned singer-songwriter with a deep connection to the music of New Orleans. Born in Las Vegas, she spent much of her childhood in New Orleans, where she now resides and regularly performs. With 8 albums to her name, including a number one iTunes single, and accolades like a top 10 Billboard Jazz Album, Lena has established herself as a talented artist in her own right. Her journey began with her father's music, which she played constantly as a young girl, and her experiences performing with his band from a tender age. After a few years of exploring the rock scene and working day jobs, Lena turned to music as her primary career in the early 2000s, eventually returning to New Orleans and becoming a staple of the city's jazz scene.
