Weaving intersectionality and belonging into DEIA
In a world where identities intersect in complex ways, the need for comprehensive diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) initiatives has never been more critical. Yet, many organizations opt for one-size-fits-all approaches that overlook the full breadth of individual experiences. Employees are often viewed through a single lens—race, gender, or ability—rather than recognized as the multifaceted individuals they are. Embedding intersectionality into your organizational culture can ensure that each person feels seen for their unique identities, experiences, and contributions—enabling them to thrive.
Fostering belonging through an intersectional framework can strengthen the very fabric of DEIA initiatives across Canadian workplaces. Weaving belonging throughout DEIA means prioritizing human-centered approaches to ensure meaningful and ethical outcomes for all people.
Join us at the CCDI UnConference 2025 for two half-days of learning and unlearning - as we focus on integrating intersectionality and belonging into our organizational fabric, and strengthening our collective knowledge, connections, and opportunities for innovation.
