Cars at The Station is a free, two-day event platform that reinforces the partners’ commitment to fueling car culture, building community with all Detroiters and welcoming those new to the industry as well as gearheads who never miss a gathering.

This year’s event features multiple activations across Roosevelt Park, Michigan Central Station and Newlab at Michigan Central that include exhibits, new vehicle ride-and-drives, taste of Detroit food trucks and more. Details of each area include:
Roosevelt Park: “Community & Cars powered by the Detroit Auto Show”
With more than 200 cars, trucks and motorcycles of all types on Friday and Saturday, Cars at The Station’s “Community & Cars powered by the Detroit Auto Show” is the heart of the two-day event and features food trucks, music and other entertainment for families to enjoy.
"For the Detroit Auto Show, community, car culture and getting together to share experiences and enthusiasm for vehicles and technology has always been at the core of what we do," said Sam Klemet, Executive Director of the Detroit Auto Show. "Cars at The Station is an extension of the show's commitment to create experiences that celebrate the Motor City's love of vehicles in an amazing setting such as Michigan Central and Roosevelt Park."
For car owners who would like to enter their vehicle for the Friday and/or Saturday Cars and Community events, the Detroit Auto Show team will be taking applicants on a first-come, first-served basis through the registration site at www.carsatthestation.com. (All submissions must include a photo of your vehicle in addition to full contact info.)
Roosevelt Park is the perfect location and naturally brings together Detroit’s most diverse and culturally rich areas including Southwest and Corktown neighborhoods.
The Station at Michigan Central
Committed to shaping Detroit’s mobility and innovation ecosystem for the 21st century, the newly restored station will serve as the setting for the main stage for music and entertainment across both days.
New for 2025, the event will feature a beer garden to further the hospitality and tastes of Detroit by way of local craft brews.
The interior of Michigan Central Station will be open during this year’s event, immersing visitors in some of the most influential architecture of the region, designed by the same architectural firms behind New York’s famed Grand Central.

Newlab at Michigan Central featuring VIP hospitality, plus RADwood Lite
At the heart of the innovation hub located on the Michigan Central campus, Newlab at Michigan Central is the backdrop for members and partners developing new technologies and businesses shaping the future of mobility and the auto industry.
Available as an elevated ticket on Friday, the Cars at The Station VIP reception inside Newlab at Michigan Central will provide attendees an exclusive look at this cutting-edge innovation hub. Guests will participate in unique automotive and vendor experiences, as well as curated wine and spirits tastings. Tickets for the VIP reception will go on sale on www.carsatthestation.com website in July.
Outside on the Newlab at Michigan Central lawn, an all-new RADwood Lite brings a uniquely curated group of ‘80s and ‘90s vehicles on Friday and Saturday. As a key part of Cars at The Station, this free display will feature more than 50 vehicles each day, highlighting the lifestyle and culture of cars, trucks and bikes from 1980-1999.
