2025 Carillon Originals Concert!

As we celebrate the spirit of spring, UChicago Guild of Carillonists is presenting an annual Carillon Originals Concert, who plays the 72-bell carillon at Rockefeller Memorial Chapel at the University of Chicago! Unlike other holiday or thematic concerts, this originals concert features music originally composed for the carillon (i.e., compositions, as opposed to arrangements). We will explore genres such as Baroque, Romantic, and contemporary with a spring mood. You will listen on the ground level with a livestream of the playing cabin in the tower. The event is free of charge and open to all with no RSVP needed. Suggested donation: $5, free with UChicago ID. The chapel is also open to visitors every week Tuesday through Friday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., with carillon tower tours beginning at 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Additional information can be found on the guild linktree.
