Leave the driving to us while we board the T+T transportation van to check out the first Buc-ee’s to open in the state of Virginia. We will head north to the new Buc-ee’s near Harrisonburg for about 1 to 2 hours of shopping. Bu-cee’s claims they have the largest convenience stores in the world. Take home their most notable snack, "Beaver Nuggets" (flavored corn puff snacks), and shop the enormous candy and jerky bars. Fun Fact: Where did the name Buc-ee’s come from? The name Buc-ee's was formed by combining the founder, Arch "Beaver" Aplin’s childhood nickname, the name of his Labrador Retriever, Buck, as well as the appeal of Ipana toothpaste's animated mascot, Bucky the beaver.
En route to Bu-cees, we will first stop for lunch at Mrs. Rowe’s Family & Bakery Restaurant. Family-owned since 1947, the family has been serving up home-style, authentic American comfort food for several generations. Lunch will be at your own expense.
