Join us for our annual John B. Bienvenu Lecture, as Elyse D. Gerstenecker, PhD, Curator of Decorative Arts at Telfair Museums, explores how Louisiana's celebrated ceramic tradition transformed regional flora into internationally recognized art.
This lecture coincides with our exhibition Fragile Matter, featuring works from our permanent collection by Newcomb artist Harriet Joor, who spent many years teaching at UL. The evening will also debut a special presentation of Harriet Joor's ceramic works generously on loan from the Haynie Family Collection.
