Get ready for one of the wildest annual events on Pensacola Beach—Bamboo Willies Beach Famous Bathtub Races on Santa Rosa Sound, right behind Bamboo Willie's Beachside Bar!The Pensacola Beach Bathtub Races are a beloved local tradition that dates back to the early 1980s. Originally started as a quirky, community-driven event, the races have grown into a signature celebration held annually on Labor Day weekend behind Bamboo Willie's Beachside Bar on Santa Rosa Sound.
Importantly, the Bathtub Races have served charitable purpose, raising money for Pensacola Beach Elementary School and other local causes.
