Welcome First Years!! ??Moving to uni can definitely be a bit daunting… but you can ?OWN ? your first year at university by signing up for ASOC’s Peer Mentoring program and coming to our beloved Opening Day event! ????

If you chose Actuarial Studies as one of your degrees, we are the society tailored to support you! ?

✅Need some help with classes and achieve target grades? ?
✅Want friends studying the SAME degree? ????
✅ Want friends in older years who know all the tips to succeeding? ?

????Weekly 1 hour sessions (starting from Week 2) with 2nd/3rd year actuarial student mentors
??An easy setting to bond with other first-year actuarial students and make lifelong friendships
?? Essential uni advice from course selection to career opportunities
—- WHAT IS OPENING DAY? —-
? ? Meet your group and your mentors for the first time!
?? Find lots of new friends doing YOUR degree in your first week of uni!
??♂️ Participate in lots of fun activities with your group!
??Grab a cheeky slice of pizza to keep the party going and celebrate your first week at uni!!

1. Log into ASOC forms or press “Sign up” to make an account (https://forms.asoc.unsw.edu.au/login)
2. Sign up for the Peer Mentoring program on ASOC forms by filling out the ‘2025 ASOC Peer Mentoring Sign Up’ form!! (https://forms.asoc.unsw.edu.au/form/868)
3. Fill in all available preferences as per the instructions
4. Get keen to meet the actuarial family for the first time! ????
NOTE: Peer Mentoring sessions will start from Week 2!!
