About this Event
The Algiers Bonfire & Concert is back on Saturday December 6, 2025!
🎄🔥🎶
*Please note this event is free and open to the public- please RSVP via Eventbrite so we know where you're joining us from!*
Organized by the (AEDF), this event is Algiers’ biggest annual holiday celebration and New Orleans’ only official holiday bonfire! This is the neighborhood’s largest public event and pays tribute to Louisiana’s river parish bonfire tradition.
Enjoy local musical performances, eat food from local vendors, and shop at the holiday craft market! The star of the event is the iconic 30 foot sculptural bonfire, designed by NOLA Burners, which is then set ablaze.
Easily accessible via the Algiers ferry, and with the New Orleans’ skyline as the perfect backdrop, it’s a uniquely festive night filled cheer and local talent!
Free and open to the public, AEDF hosts this event each year to attract visitors to the Westbank, give local vendors an opportunity to sell their goods to thousands of potential customers, and provide our community with a family friendly holiday event!
AEDF provides servies to the community year-round, including small business support, networking events, technical assitance, workshops, youth workforce development, and more. Learn more about our work at algiersecononomic.com

Getting to Event Grounds and Accessiblity Information
The Bonfire event grounds are located at 200 Morgan Street on the batture - the land between the river and the levee, on the river-side of the levee. We recommend arriving via ferry, bus, bike, or on foot if possible, as parking is limited. The event is easily accessible by ferry from the Canal Street Ferry Terminal; the grounds are just a few feet downriver from the Algiers Ferry Terminal. If you’re coming from Lower Algiers or Gretna, the Algiers Levee Bike Path provides convenient access. For bus riders, use the Le Pass App to plan your trip.
For those driving, there is one small paid-parking lot in Algiers Point at 201 Morgan Street. AEDF does NOT operate these lots. Limited street parking is also available in the Algiers Point neighborhood. Arrive early to secure the best parking spots and make the most of your visit!
Although the event grounds on the batture are not ADA compliant, a paved road from the Levee Trail at Morgan Street and Patterson Road provides functional access to the site. Be advised that there is no railing on the road and some people might require additional assistance in navigating the grade. The Art Market area at the riverside base of the road is paved and level. The adjacent Stage, Food Trucks and Bonfire itself are located on grass and sand but generally level. The Bonfire can be viewed from many points along the Levee Trail. There is at least one accessible Port-a-let provided on site.
