2025 Alaska Investing Education Fair

The Alaska Chapter for BetterInvesting (NAIC) is proud to be sponsoring an upcoming 2025 Investing Education Fair. The Ed Fair will be held at the Loussac Library, 4th Floor Commons, in Anchorage, Alaska on Saturday September 20, 2025, at 10:15am (Coffee and registration starts at 10:15am, greetings at 10:40am and the first session starts at 10:45am).

This year's fair will feature Suzanne (Suzi) Atzberger and Kirsten Halpin. Suzi is the Director of Online Stock Tools Suite, Information Technology and Data. Suzi is a third generation BetterInvesting member and is an investment club member. She has successfully practiced the BetterInvesting method of stock selection and portfolio management for over 25 years. Years of professional experience in project management, quality management, and information technology give Suzi unique insight into the technological needs of long-term equity investors. Her vision led to our current online stock analysis tools for investment clubs and individual investors.

Kirsten Halpin, CFA®, CAIA®, FRM®, is the Director of Investments at Alaska Wealth Advisors, where she focuses on translating institutional investment strategies into actionable insights for individual investors. With nearly a decade of experience in investment management, trading, and performance evaluation, Kirsten brings a unique perspective on how large-scale strategies can be adapted to benefit private wealth clients. Her dedication and pursuit of knowledge have led her to attain specialized industry designations, including Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, and Financial Risk Manager.

Suzi and Kirsten will be providing three sessions on topics of interest to stock investors:

During lunch, a short annual meeting will also be held. Box lunches will be provided for paid attendees. After lunch, around noon, we will be voting for Directors. Voting will be open to all BI members. Early bird tickets cost $30 for sales through Sept. 15th whereas General admission goes for $40 after that up until 3pm Thursday, Sept. 18th after which lunch boxes cannot be guaranteed.
