**This lecture is free and open to the public.**Dr. Jodi Magness is the Kenan Distinguished Professor for Teaching Excellence in Early Judaism at UNC Chapel Hill. She has written over a dozen highly regarded books and has participated in or directed more than 20 different excavations in Israel and other parts of the biblical world. She has also helped produce many documentaries on Biblical Archaeology for organizations like National Geographic, PBS and the Smithsonian. Magness is a highly sought after speaker.
Her topic for the 2025 Abila Lecture is “Jerusalem During the Time of Jesus.”
