2024 Young Professionals University (YPU)

Are you a high school student who is thinking about life after you graduate? Join the Houston Area Urban League Young Professionals in partnership with Houston City Council District D, Phillips66, H-E-B and dozens of colleges/universities for our annual Young Professionals University (YPU), a college readiness and empowerment program to educate high school students on their options after school.

Students will be divided into 5 Groups and spend the day attending breakout sessions and a college fair to gain all the tools and resources to make an informed decision on the next steps for higher learning.

• Entrepreneurship
• Mental Health & Wellness
• Street Smarts (Public Safety)

• Jackson State University
• Rice University
• Alabama State University
• Texas A&M University
• University of Texas- Austin

Participants will be provided Breakfast and Lunch, and will be eligible for raffle prizes that include electronics, gift cards and more! Must be an 8th grader or current high school student to sign up.
