In Dr. Lisa Genova’s keynote speech, How We Remember and Why We Forget, listen as she explores the intricacies of our ability to remember, why we forget and what we can all do to protect our memories.
Dr. Genova, who holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Harvard University, is the bestselling author of the novels Still Alice, Left Neglected, Love Anthony, Inside the O’Briens and Every Note Played.?
Her debut novel, Still Alice, which poignantly explores the harrowing journey of a woman diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s, not only became a New York Times bestseller, but also inspired a critically acclaimed film adaptation where actress Julianne Moore won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role as Alice. ?
