40 Years!We are beyond excited to announce the 40th Anniversary of the Wellington Dragon Boat Festival, returning to New Zealand's capital for the 40th time in 2024.
Due to the volume of team entries already received, the Open & Corporate Racing will be held over 2 days with heats on the afternoon/evening of Friday 1 March 2024; with further heats, finals, and then the Prize-giving & Afterparty on Saturday 2 March 2024.
Youth & Schools Racing will be held over 1 day on Sunday 3 March 2024, featuring teams from outside of Wellington also.
Note that out of town teams are not required to attend on Friday. Their heats can be spaced out across Saturday only (if more convenient).
With a record number of teams already entered for 2024, please head to dragonboatfestival.org.nz to sign up to paddle as an individual or team.
We look forward to welcoming you all back to the water in 2024, to help us celebrate a true milestone in dragon boating.
