Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Street parking is available near walk location (28th Ave & 10th Street) and in the surrounding area. You may also want to consider walking, biking, or using public transportation if you are able.

5K (~3 miles) seems like a long way. What if I have young children or have to stop early?

That's just fine! If you have a health condition, are with small children, or just aren't up for multiple laps, you can choose to shorten your walking distance at anytime.

Do I need to register children and/or others in my group?

Yes, for legal reasons, everyone must be registered and accounted for! Registration also allows us to better plan for the event and and picnic needs.

Where do donated funds go?

100% of funds raised will go to Sickle Cell Foundation of Minnesota and are used to further the mission of improving the lives of individuals and communities affected by sickle cell disease and sickle cell trait.
