Event Details: BDO will share a US federal corporate tax update, provide a US federal legislative/controversy update, discuss ITS hot topics with a federal tax impact, and educate us on transferable tax credits/R&D credits/174 capitalization/accounting methods.

10:00-10:10 - Welcome Remarks by TEI and Introduction to Speakers
10:10-11:00 - US Federal Corporate Tax Update (Kevin Ainsworth) - This session will briefly summarize recent legislative and administrative developments in corporate tax, focusing on the current status of guidance on CAMT and the corporate excise tax.
11:00-11:50 - US Federal Legislative/Controversy Update (Todd Simmens) - This session will cover the JOBS Act expiring provisions and the tax legislative outlook under possible election scenarios. We will also discuss the status of IRS operations, including how business may changes in the aftermath of the Chevron case repeal.
11:50-12:20 - Lunch
12:20-1:10 - ITS Hot Topics Related to Federal Tax (Matt Williams & Joel Gross) - This session will cover US ITS trends and issues BDO is seeing with their clients in New England.
1:10 - 2:00 - Transferable Credits/R&D/174/Methods Update (Lisa Keith & Peter Pentland) - This session will cover developments in guidance for transferable credits, the shifting R&D landscape for the credit and deductibility of expenses under Section 174, and the emerging trends involving accounting methods in tax planning.
