The St. Louis Regional Freightway is hosting the third annual Take Flight Forum on Friday, November 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.

The event will bring together leaders in the aerospace manufacturing and service sectors and higher education, as well as current students preparing for a future aerospace career and recent graduates who have joined this vibrant ecosystem.

Local leaders who will be participating include Tony Ray, Vice President & General Manager St. Louis Completions, Gulfstream Aerospace Corp.; Brian Bauwens, General Manager - East Alton & St. Louis Downtown Airport sites, West Star Aviation; and a representative from St. Louis Community College's Boeing Pre-Employment Training Program.

The panel discussion will be moderated by Mary Lamie, Executive Vice President of Multimodal Enterprises, Bi-State Development.

Summary: The St. Louis Regional Freightway will host a panel discussion featuring representatives of some of the region’s most significant aerospace manufacturing and service companies and the higher education institutions they are collaborating with to prepare for future growth. The panelists will be joined by current students and recent graduates of programs that are providing a direct pipeline to family sustaining careers in the growing aerospace sector. That industry will add nearly 1,000 new jobs in the St. Louis region over the next few years.
