TAIWANfest: Becoming Me presents a series of live performances to downtown Toronto. 

In collaboration with Jade Music Fest ¡Sinophone! presents three sets of artists each with their own special flair. Taiwanese band Lilium blends traditional beiguan and nanguan music with contemporary rock. Using Taiwanese lyrics they stay rooted in their cultural heritage while creating a music style unique and undeniably Taiwanese. JUNO Award-winning Jacq Teh shows off her jazz background with a tribute to her grandfather and Teresa Teng. Singer-songwriter Chynna Lewis writes from her soul sharing stories of her experiences as a Taiwanese immigrant. 

TAIWANfest Orchestra returns to open the festival with music inspired by all the languages we speak and the journey across the seas 400 years ago. All the way from Taiwan King of Hakka Pop Wing Lo will give us a taste of how Hakka music can touch our hearts. Toronto local hyperpop princess AIKO TOMI will have you dancing where you stand!
