We're back at Liberty Park for five movie nights in July and August, showcasing an exciting lineup of curated cinematic stories. The best part? ⭐ This summer we are highlighting our annual programs! Black, Bold & Brilliant kicks off our series with the award-winning Sundance documentary of solidarity and song, "Searching for Sugar Man". Then we move into the existentially delightful and locally produced, "Nine Days", from our Artist Foundry’s Utah Filmmaker Showcase in celebration of Utah Film Commission’s 100th anniversary. The next stop is our Tumbleweeds Film Festival for Kids and their electrifying Oscar-nominated movie selection, "Robot Dreams", then our Artist Foundry’s second showcase screening follows with a collection of local short films. We wrap up with the drag-tastic musical, "Everybody’s Talking About Jamie", from our Utah Queer Film Festival. Each screening also includes a locally made short film before the feature.
⭐ We are excited to have Sweet Hazel & Co. Bakeshop & Bistro join us as food vendor for all screenings to make sure you have something delicious to munch on while you watch.
⭐ Info to know:
• Movies will begin at dusk
• Seating is first come, first served on the grass starting at 8pm
• Check-in upon arrival to be entered into a prize drawing for a chance to win Utah Film Center merch!
• Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome
• Snacks for sale by Sweet Hazel & Co. Bakeshop & Bistro
• Dogs are allowed as long as they are leashed
• Bathrooms are north of the tennis courts
• Screenings take place on the east side of Liberty Park, just north of the Chase Home Museum near the middle of the park
