Special Olympics Craven County is excited to host our Spring Games at Havelock High School again for 2024! This event will be held on Thursday, May 16th. Here’s an outline of the day’s events:8:30-9:00- Volunteer Check-In
9:00-9:30- Athlete Check-In
9:45-10:00- Parade of Athletes
10:00-10:30- Opening Ceremonies
10:30-12:30- Track & Field Competition
11:30-1:00- Volunteer Lunch
Athlete Registration
All participants must have an up-to-date Athlete Participation Packet on file with Special Olympics to compete in Spring Games. If you need a new APP, please email us at [email protected] and we’ll be happy to send you a copy. Athletes who are currently enrolled in Craven County Schools are registered through their classrooms by their teachers. Athletes who are not currently enrolled in Craven County Schools may register individually as Community Based Athletes. This also includes athletes who live in a group-home setting. Volunteer Registration
Are you interested in helping make our Spring Games a success? We would love your support! We have a need for:
-Event Set-Up: Help set up the equipment and tents for the event
-Event Timers/Scorekeepers: Record athlete’s times or scores
-Event Staging: Help organize athletes before each event
-Awards Tables: Help calculate winners of each event and present awards to the athletes
