Join the San Diego County Spinners as they compete in the 2024 International Back to Back Wool Challenge.This International competition sees who can build a sweater the quickest. At this event, you will see the sheep be sheared, the spinners create the yarn, and the knitters create the sweater! It's a fun opportunity to see this process in action, and learn about sheep, spinning and knitting from individuals who enjoy the hobby.
The San Diego County Spinners took home first place for the United States in 2019, where the sweater was completed in 7 hours and 52 minutes.
The world record came form The Netherlands in 2017, with a time of 4 hours 45 minutes and 53 seconds.
