The Safford Airshow is a thrilling aerial event that showcases a variety of aircraft performances, demonstrations, and displays. Held in Safford, AZ at Safford Regional Airport, the Airshow features high-flying aerobatics, precision maneuvers by expert pilots, and ground displays of vintage and modern aircraft. You can expect an exciting day filled with breathtaking stunts, jaw-dropping flyovers, and opportunities to interact with pilots and explore aircraft up close! The Safford Airshow promises an unforgettable day for aviation enthusiasts, families, and spectators looking for a thrilling and entertaining experience. On November 9th, Safford Regional Airport will welcome the public to come watch the spectacular show!Flying in the airshow will be Anthony Oshingua in the Pitts Special, Alfred Maldonando in the Fouga Magister, Torrey Ward in the Subsonex Microjet, Erik Swanson T-6 Aerobatics, Dan Kirkland T-28 Aerobatics, Jeff Boerboon Decathlon Aerobatics, the Desert Rats CJ-6 Formation Team, and Mike Rutledge in the FM2 Wildcat. Also part of the show will be a Parachute Demonstration.
We also have static displays from the CAF C-47, PB4Y Privateer, USAF U-28 Drago, privately owned PT-26 and Gyroplane, a SOCOM C-27J, and helo rides by the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation in their UH-1 Huey and AH-1 Cobra.
