The aim of our Transition Program is to gradually introduce your child into the school environment, so they feel safe, welcome, confident and ready to learn in 2024. The aim for you (the parents) is the same!
In general, the five transition sessions involve:
• students arriving and getting settled into an activity
• spending time in the Prep classroom for simple activities — sharing a story, craft activities, games, puzzles, construction etc.
• some play time outside
• beginning to learn school routines (e.g. bags, food, toileting, moving around the school, which doors to use, boundaries, sports and play equipment)
