2024 Power Breakfast: The Best of the Electric Wire

For the past four years, the Customers First Coalition has been producing an energy-focused podcast, theElectric Wire, and this year’s Power Breakfast will feature speakers from some of the top episodes, as theElectric Wire celebrates its 50th episode.

Topics will include the reality of retail choice in deregulated states; utility-scale energy storage technologies; and, a panel with Wisconsin’s energy providers. Confirmed speakers include Brent Ridge, President and CEO, Dairyland Power Cooperative; Commissioner Marcus Hawkins, Public Service Commission of Wisconsin; Rep. Lisa Subeck, Ranking Member, Assembly Committee on Energy and Utilities, and, Laurel Peltier, a consumer advocate from Maryland, who has seen first-hand the perils of energy deregulation, or retail choice, for electric customers in that state.
