What is the Police Unity Tour? Captain Justin DeBoode, Captain Joel Roon, Lt. Ryan Thome, Sgt. Joy Matthews, Sgt. Kailey Gilbert, and Deputy Melissa Gokey are participating in the Police Unity Tour May 2024 to ride in memory of Deputy David Cook with two support members, Deputy Omar Dieppa and Deputy Lance Gilbert. Our goal is to raise 20K! Proceeds go to the National Law Enforcement Memorial and Museum. The Police Unity Tour is a cycling event that starts in Richmond, VA and continues 229 miles to the National Police Officers Memorial in Washington D. C. where participants are greeted by friends, family, and survivors to present bracelets worn on their wrist throughout the journey to the families of the fallen. The event kicks of National Police Week in Washington D.C.

Deputy David Cook is being formally dedicated on May 13th, 2024 at the 36th Annual Candlelight Vigil during National Police Week in Washington D.C. where his name will be added to the Law Enforcement Memorial.
