The OIT is a young event aimed to nurture the growing population of iaidoka in Ottawa, Montreal, and across this region.
Open to ALL ranks -- but focused on giving mudansha an opportunity to try competition and 3-4 Dan experience as shinpan (judges) -- participants are expected to participate and contribute in all aspects of the event, including court management and event organization.
We are pleased to present the OIT in partnership with the Canadian Kendo Federation and Team Canada Iaido, which will utilize the official regulations for iaido competition as established by the All Japan Kendo Federation.
** This event will also serve as preparation for the North American Partnership Event in August in Vancouver **
