2024 #OneWorld Community Concert & Exhibit

Saturday April 27th from 4:00pm-8:00pm, Bridges from Borders (BFB) will be hosting our Second Annual #OneWorld Community Concert & Exhibit! The primary aim of this event is to foster unity among local communities to address the growing issue of stereotypes that negatively impact immigrant and underrepresented minorities within our neighborhoods. In light of these issues, this event seeks to emphasize the significance of valuing justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. It will showcase a range of compelling, real-life stories highlighting the tireless efforts of immigrants, from young to old, as they work to assimilate into American culture across various sectors

The event will feature performances by several choirs from a range of communities around Buffalo. BFB launched the #OneWorld Choir in January of 2023 to promote advocacy for individuals with disabilities and their families, who are from diverse communities that are often overlooked and underserved. Throughout the night, guests will have the opportunity to learn more about BFB’s programs by exploring our student-led program showcases. After the performances, we will hand the stage over to several community members to share their stories and perspectives to encourage empathy, open mindedness, and connection.
