We're celebrating 10 Years of Oakland Carnival! Oakland Carnival Wellness Festival is Northern California's premiere Caribbean Carnival. Always the first Saturday in June, Oakland Carnival's unique inclusion of Caribbean, African, Brazilian, and African American cultures makes it the perfect family-friendly showcase of local and international talent, art, food, and music.
The 2024 Oakland Carnival Festival will feature multiple curated stages and activity zones repping for the culture, the community, and our wellness.
The Oakland Carnival Committee is a joint partnership of local arts organizations led by SambaFunk!, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt arts organization with the support of the City of Oakland, San Francisco Foundation, Akonadi Foundation, California Arts Council, East Bay Community Foundation, and multiple local community members.
