2024 Lady Hoya Basketball Summer Skills Camp

AGES: Rising 3rd Graders to Rising 8th Graders

DATES: Monday, June 3rd – Thursday, June 6th

TIMES: 9 a.m. to 12 noon

LOCATION: Harrison High School’s Hoya Center

The Harrison Lady Hoya Basketball Program has a long history of high-level success. We have accomplished three Region Championships, twelve State Tournament appearances, two Sweet 16 appearances, two Elite 8 appearances and three State Runner Ups. Additionally, Harrison has produced over 25 college basketball players, many of whom went on to excel at their college or university. This success comes from a combination of players that want to compete and a coaching staff with many years of experience that knows how to develop player’s skills. This is the learning environment you will be entering your daughter into at our Lady Hoya Summer Skills Camp.

This camp is open to all 3rd through 8th grade girls, regardless of district/attendance zone, skill levels and basketball experience. All are welcome at this camp and every effort will be made to place your child with players of similar skills and experience. This camp will be led by Head Coach Terry Kemp. He, along with his staff and returning varsity players, will be teaching your child the following basketball skills:

Foundational Fundamentals; dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, player movement

Secondary and Weak Hand Dribbling

Setting Screens

Using Screens

Defensive Musts

Off Ball Movement

Court Communication

Good Sportsmanship

Basketball Philosophy
