2024 Keweenaw Color Run

The Keweenaw Color Run is back! Keweenaw Young Professionals invites you to join us on Saturday, October 5th, 2024 at 9:30AM for a fun, untimed walk/run event for the whole office and family. Once again this year, the Color Run will kick-off the Downtown Houghton Fall Fest starting at the end of the race, 11:00AM-2:00PM at the Waterfront Pier.

During this five-kilometer* event, participants will be blasted head to toe in different colored powders at various stations along the route. Not only will you get more colorful throughout the race, but each person will be provided with a color packet to kick off the race in full-color style!

A white or lightly colored t-shirt is best for a Color Run, to show off the color you collect along the race route. With this is mind, as an add-on to your race registration, we encourage you to purchase an official Keweenaw Color Run white t-shirt to commemorate the race! **

KCR Runners vary in demographics and reasons for running. With no winners or official times, The Keweenaw Color Run is an event for everyone! This event is designed to unite the diverse cultures and identities of the Upper Peninsula communities. Our goal is to get you out of your office, or home, surrounded by family and friends walking or running to a healthier us.

And, as mentioned, the 2024 Keweenaw Color Run will once again be the kick-off event to the third annual Downtown Houghton Fall Fest at the Waterfront Pier! Vendors, music, plenty of pumpkins and fall fun await. More information regarding Fall Fest will be shared as the event nears.

Who is Keweenaw Young Professionals?

Keweenaw Young Professionals (KYP) was founded 2013 by local community members as a group for young professionals to be social, network, get involved in the community and have fun.

In 2016, KYP became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization allowing us to further our efforts to achieve our mission of providing opportunities for area young professionals to connect and grow through community engagement and social events.
