2024 Inglewood Kitchen Party

This party is a success because of the amazing volunteers! There are lots of opportunities big and small to support our school programs!

On Saturday, April 27th, the CWCSA is hosting our annual Kitchen Party at the Inglewood Community Hall. Your ticket includes a delicious dinner, a free drink, and live music so you can dance the night away! We will also have raffles and silent and live auctions.

For over 25 years, the Colonel Walker Community School Association (CWCSA) has been responsible for raising funds to support parent-led initiatives for the children of Colonel Walker School, the children who attend Colonel Walker Programs Afterschool/Hot Lunch at the Community Center, and the children of Inglewood in general. Last year, the Kitchen Party raised over $8,000 for a number of initiatives including:

1) Support for Colonel Walker School enhanced programs and residencies such as Indigenous Hoop Dancing residency, In-line skating, hip hop dancing and more!

2) The start of the Afterschool Program library.

3) Support for the Shinny program at the community center (open to all).

4) New Lego and outdoor toys for the Afterschool Program.

5) A year end BBQ for all the students at Colonel Walker School.

6) Funding for the CWS parent council to keep parent fees low and ensure all students get the same opportunities.

All of these initiatives, among many others, were made possible because of supporters like you. This year the CWCSA hopes to raise more than $5,000 to support our work further.
