If homeownership is your goal, Economic Growth Corporation (GROWTH) will help you get there. As a HUD Approved Housing Counseling Agency, GROWTH's HUD-certified housing counselors are here to work through the entire process of homeownership with each individual client.GROWTH offers a monthly Homebuyer Education Class for prospective homebuyers wishing to purchase a home in Illinois. The class is free, and is offered both for in-person attendees and virtually. Space is limited for in-person attendees.
No matter how you attend, you must register in advance to participate by calling (309) 788-6311. Virtual attendees will receive the meeting link the day before the class.
Class curriculum encompasses some of the following:
- Steps of the home buying process
- Preparing for the expenses of homeownership
- Financial management of homeownership
- Post purchase tips
Upon completion of the class webinar, GROWTH's Housing Manager will issue a certificate of completion acknowledging the individual's participation in the class.
