"Home Grown, World Class: Georgia's Contributions to the Movement"
The Georgia Disability History Symposium is an annual event presented by the Richard B. Russell Library in collaboration with the University of Georgia's Institute on Human Development and Disability and the Georgia Disability History Alliance. It is a gathering for disability advocates, self-advocates, scholars, and the public to highlight the challenges and triumphs of the disability community.
The 2024 symposium will discuss Georgia's contributions to the nationwide Disability Rights Movement and will feature a keynote address from Charlotte V. McClain-Nhalpo, international human rights lawyer and Global Disability Advisor for the World Bank. Seating is limited, so prior registration is required.
