The Expo is held at the corner of St. Mary and Hebrard Blvd. and will have free jambalaya served in compostable products, music, and host local organizations, businesses, and non-profits who are committed to a more sustainable Acadiana and Louisiana. Join us the week of earth week in April to celebrate the earth and learn more about the environment and sustainably! The Fête de la Terre Expo will be on Monday, April 22nd from 10:30am - 1pm.
After the Expo please join us as we celebrate Earth Day with a Cypress Tree Planting at Cypress Lake Plaza at 1:30pm followed by a Campus Sustainability Tour at 2pm where we take participants around campus to see first-hand how our University is committed to being a living laboratory and visit green infrastructure projects (permeable pavement, rain gardens, bioswales), pollinator habitats, urban cajun prairies, special heritage trees, community gardens, various recycling options, and more! While we are on the tour we will play Nature Bingo to see what we can spot around our beautiful campus.
