The Festival of Dreams is Sapna’s annual fundraising event, gathering leaders, community organizers, and professionals from all backgrounds into a space dedicated to the immigrant women in our community who are working to realize their own “sapna” or dreams. This year’s gala will celebrate ’s 16th anniversary. Enjoy an evening of South Asian food, music, and artists in a room full of people passionate about gender and social justice!

Together with our community of support, Sapna NYC will continue to grow and provide culturally attuned, linguistically accessible programs and services, all centering the needs and experiences of South Asian immigrant women. Your support makes our impact possible so that our community can thrive.

All proceeds from this event will go directly to supporting our Mukti [freedom] and Ananda [joy] initiatives.

At a glance, so far in 2024 Sapna's Mukti and Ananda initiatives have:

• Hosted our first ever Ramadan iftar for survivors of domestic violence and their children
• Supported 36 survivors of domestic violence through case management
• Organized 2 joyous community celebrations with over 100 women and children at each event

• Provided 493 mental health counseling sessions in Bengali, Hindi, and Urdu

• Facilitated 25 Women’s circle sessions with various in-person events

• Grew our weekly women’s walking club in the Bronx to over 50 participants
• Co-hosted 2 culutral events, one for Mother Language Day and one for the Bengali New Year
