Join Us For A Night of Celebration!
This year, we hit another Empower milestone which was years in the making, the launch of our first ever Empower SCI Teen Program. The program ran for one week in August in East Greenwich, RI, and was a beautiful combination of experiences, connection and growth with 8 incredible young adults from across the country.
As an organization, we have been talking about being in our "adolescent years", with a focus on our own growth and expansion. It only seemed right for us to celebrate the successes, the experiences, and the growing Empower community with our first-ever Empower Prom. Join us! Get dolled up, surprise your loved one with a prom-posal, get on the corsage bandwagon, rent yourself a limo, and get yourself to Providence, RI for an evening to remember!
We've booked the Marriott in Downtown Providence to celebrate our success with you! Dress is black tie optional. All past participants, volunteers, and supporters of any kind are welcome to join us for a night of recognition, celebration, gratitude, dancing, exceptional eats, raffles, and other surprises.

Empower Spinal Cord Injury is truly a "labor of love." Since 2010 we have been a primarily volunteer-staffed summer program, so you can be sure that your funds will go directly to the cost of the program itself.
The bulk of the program cost comes from providing room and board for our participants, volunteers, mentors and clinical specialists on campus and under one roof. In order to keep program costs down for each participant, we raise approximately $4,000 per participant, per year, to allow 1 person to attend this life-changing program.

What is the price-tag on finding your passion in life? In realizing that life is worth living and anything is possible? On finding a new support network and friends that will be close for the rest of your life? That is what Empower provides. And that is why we want to make this program available to more people throughout the country.
