Another year is in the books, and we have to say that 2024 was a great one for DSA!To celebrate, the Dallas Screenwriters Association is throwing our 2024 DSA Holiday Party in Studio 3 at KD Studios on Tuesday, December 17, starting at 6:30 pm.
Join us for food, drinks, conversation, music, and fun! We may even pop in a holiday movie or play some games!
Once again this year, we will be having a Raffle for prizes. You'll be able to purchase your raffle tickets at the party, and the drawing will take place at the end of the night. Those who, before the date of the party, have already renewed or bought a new membership for 2025 will get a FREE bonus raffle ticket to enter!
So, renew, renew, renew NOW at the DSA Join Now page to get a head start in snagging a prize.
We're also bringing back the Self-Promotion opportunity to this year's party. If you have anything industry or media related you want to promote – your movie, your services, or YOURSELF – bring it to the party to share!
This is open to Writers, Actors, Filmmakers, Crew Members, and even Authors. So, bring plenty copies of your business cards, headshots, resumes, etc. to leave on the table for others to pick up.
If you have a reel or short video or a slide you want to show on a screen, you can do that, too! We will keep the slideshow of everyone's rotating throughout the night. But you MUST submit these to the party organizers by Thursday, December 12th at 10:00pm. You can submit via email to [email protected]. Please keep all submissions to 2 minutes or less.
The party is free to attend for Members, Actors, and those who have attended multiple DSA events (Scene Reads, meetings, etc.) this year. The cost is $10 for any new guests.
Donations are also greatly appreciated to help cover the expenses for the party and DSA events for 2025.
Finally- and most importantly- please help us know how much food to get by sending your RSVP to [email protected] by Wednesday, December 11th at 10:00pm. Put "2024 Annual DSA Party" in the subject line. Also include if you a vegetarian, vegan, or have a gluten allergy.
We are excited to spend some time closing out 2024 and ushering in 2025 with you all. See you December 17th!
