The DC Dragon Boat Festival will happen on Saturday, May 18, 2024 (rain date: 6/15/2024) at Thompsons Boat Center (address: 2900 Virginia Ave NW, Washington, DC 20037).In 2017, we established our own deaf and hard-of-hearing team, Deaf Dragon, the first of its kind, and we had 20 deaf and hard of hearing participants. We finished in 1st place in our division for the race and had a great time collaborating with other Asian non-profit organizations. We won 1st place again in 2018 and hope to repeat the experience in 2024.
The festival is FREE. It usually draws about 2,000 attendees (participants, non-participants including families, friends, and sponsors) each year.
