A staple of the UWEC Choral Tradition is the annual Clearwater Choral Festival welcomes over 250 talented high school musicians from schools throughout the upper Midwest. Student musicians are selected through director nomination and spend the day learning and rehearsing with UWEC Choral Faculty. After spending the day learning and perfecting choral music, the festival choir gets the opportunity to take the stage at 7:30pm in Gantner Concert Hall with the esteemed UWEC choral ensembles. APPLYING:
Directors may nominate up to five balanced octets (40 students total) of talented singers using the online application in the link above. Directors will be notified of selected students on a rolling admissions basis. Nominations are due Monday, September 30. Directors will be notified of selected students starting Friday, October 4.
Note: We recognize that all schools may not be able to submit balanced octets. Please do not leave out any students because of this. Please submit all names and a selection will be made.
