2024 AWE Luncheon

The 2024 Asian Women Empowered (AWE) Luncheon convenes women joined by their commitment to inspire and encourage actionable change for the visibility and agency of Asian women in the entertainment ecosystem. This special gathering will include inspiring presentations, an awards celebration honoring exceptional Asian women leaders, community-building, and networking. The Luncheon is held in conjunction with Asia Society Southern California's (ASSC) 14th U.S.-Asia Entertainment Summit and Game Changer Awards.

We are delighted to announce that Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment (CAPE) Executive Director Michelle Sugihara and Crunchyroll COO Gita Rebbapragada will be honored as AWE Champions at the event. More honorees will be announced soon.

is an initiative of ASSC with the mission to connect and mobilize a global network of influential Asian women with the collective goals of moving the needle toward improved representation and helping Asian women break into leadership, board service, and beyond.

We aim to drive this change with programming and mentorship powered by our commitment to investing in and inspiring the next generations of Asian women leaders. We focus on the topics most relevant to the needs of our community, with offerings designed to expand knowledge, help prepare for advancement, provide development opportunities, open doors, and simply offer support and guidance from a network of past, present, and future Asian women game-changers.
