Take Steps is a walk experience that brings communities together — letting inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) patients and their families know that they're not alone. Coping with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis can be extremely challenging and isolating. Join us for Take Steps as, together, we honor the journeys of those living with IBD. Every step we take and every dollar we raise together will create awareness, fund research, and show everyone touched by this isolating disease that they are not alone.Registration will open outside the Birmingham Zoo Administrative Offices at 8:00 a.m., and you will then be welcomed to visit our Festival Site where you can visit our Basecamp and Camp Oasis Corner, grab some swag & snacks and mingle with other friends & families. The Opening Ceremony will begin promptly at 9:15 a.m.
