AIA Cleveland is going back to the beach! Our signature event of the summer returns to Edgewater Beach on August 3rd, 2024. The day-long festivities will feature an exhilarating volleyball tournament and an elaborate sand castle construction competition, presenting a unique opportunity for Cleveland architects and designers to engage with the public. This annual gathering aims to promote public awareness
of the role architects play, while raising funds for the ACE (Architecture Construction Engineering) Mentor Program. The ACE Mentor Program offers education and scholarships to high school and college students pursuing careers in these industries.
Spectators and participants alike will have the opportunity to to take in the sights and indulge in delicious treats from local food trucks at this FREE event. All participants must pre-register by July 5 (see link below).
Schedule:
8 AM: Sand Castle Build Begins
9 AM: Volleyball Tournament Begins
2 PM: Parade of Castles
3 PM: Shovels Down, Celebrity Jury
3:30 PM: Awards!
Registration thru July 5 for teams and individuals (note: you do not need to be part of an architecture firm to participate!!)
