About this Event
The cello is often regarded as the most human and voice-like of musical instruments. Tonight, cellos take centre stage, singing praises to Winnipeg, the City of Song, in its 150th year. They’ll perform an astonishing collection of works for up to seven cellos, voice, and more. The program includes Scott Joplin, Samuel Barber, Jessie Montgomery, the “Brazilian Bach” of Heitor Villa-Lobos, and much more.
