1) OPTION A AND OPTION B MANDATORY Practice Sessions at Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro on the following Sundays from 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM based on the PROGRAM OPTION YOU CHOOSE AT REGISTRATION:

OPTION A AND OPTION B Practices:

• September 2024: 09/15, 09/22, 09/29.
• October 2024: 10/06, 10/13.
• November 2024: 11/03.
• January 2025: 01/26.
• February 2025: 02/09, 02/16, 02/23.
• March 2025: 03/16, 03/30.
• April 2025: 04/13.
• May 2025: 05/18, 05/25.
• June 2025: 06/01.
• July 2025: 07/13, 07/20.

OPTION C MANDATORY PRACTICES - TWO SUNDAYS BEFORE EACH RACE AT CABRILLO BEACH IN SAN PEDRO ON THE FOLLOWING SUNDAYS FROM 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM.

• SAN DIEGO RACE: 10/06 AND 10/13.
• MARINA DEL REY RACE: 02/16 AND 02/23.
• CASTAIC RACE: 05/18 AND 05/25.
• LONG BEACH RACE: 07/13 AND 07/20.

• Saturday October 5: LA County Regional, Santa Fe Dam, Irwindale.
• Saturday October 19: San Diego International, Mission Bay, San Diego.
• Saturday March 1/8 (TBD Jan): Marina Del Rey Regional, Burton Chace, Marina Del Rey.
• Saturday June 7: Castaic Lake Regional, Castaic Lake, Castaic.
• Saturday July 26: Long Beach International, Marine Stadium, Long Beach.

PROGRAM COST:

OPTION A Program at $383.00 per YOUTH (11+ by 11/01/24):

1) FIVE Dragon Boat Races in 2024-2025 with Jason and the Dragonauts from OCTOBER 2024 through JUNE 2025 as listed: (a) October 5 in Irwindale, (b) October 19 in San Diego, (c) March 2025 in Marina Del Rey, (d) June 2025 in Castaic, and (e) July 2025 in Long Beach.

2) 12-months programming and membership with Dragonauts CREW 333 (13+ as of 11/01/24) and/or Dragonauts TROOP 333 (11+ as of 11/01/24) from SEPTEMBER 2024 through AUGUST 2025.

3) DRAGONAUTS 333 UNIFORM.

4) Merit Badge Sessions on Race Days - and specific Sunday Practice Days INCLUDING EAGLE MERIT BADGE SESSIONS AND ELECTIVE MERIT BADGE SESSIONS FROM SEPTEMBER 2024 THROUGH AUGUST 2025.

5) Nova STEM Program Sessions on Race Days - and specific Sunday Practice Days.

6) JASON AND THE DRAGONAUTS TEAM SHIRT.

OPTION B Program at $383.00 per SCOUT (12-17 years old):

1) THREE Dragon Boat Races in 2024-2025 with Jason and the Dragonauts from October 2024 through June 2025 as listed: (a) October 19 in San Diego, (b) March 2025 in Marina Del Rey, and (c) June 2025 in Castaic.

2) EAGLE Merit Badge Sessions on Race Days - and specific Sunday Practice Days BETWEEN SEPTEMBER 2024 TO JUNE 2025: (a) Personal Fitness, (b) Personal Management, (c) Family Life, (d) Communication, (e) Citizenship In The World, (f) Citizenship In The Nation, (g) Citizenship In the Community, (h) First Aid, (i) Swimming, (j) Lifesaving, (k) Citizenship In Society, (l) Emergency Preparedness, (j) Sustainability, and (k) Cooking.

3) JASON AND THE DRAGONAUTS TEAM SHIRT.

OPTION C Program at $100.00 PER SCOUT (11-17 years old):

1) ONE Dragon Boat Race in 2024-2025 with Jason and the Dragonauts - you choose the ONE race date: either (a) October 19 in San Diego, OR (b) March 2025 in Marina Del Rey, OR (c) JUNE 2025 in Castaic, OR (d) JULY 2025 in Long Beach.

2) JASON AND THE DRAGONAUTS TEAM SHIRT.

3) ONE Merit Badge Session on the ONE RACE DAY.

NOTES - PLEASE READ:

1) NO REFUNDS - if you find yourself unable to attend for whatever reason, please find your own replacement to purchase from you directly.

2) Travel expenses to and from competitions in Southern California not included.

3) Merit Badge Counselor Sessions will be shared with the Scout Roster ON SEPTEMBER 8, 2024 via the EVENTBRITE PLATFORM. All sessions are in person - either on Race Days or Specific Sundays after practice.

4) Nova Engineering Award - START YOUR ENGINES (Scouts BSA) or POWER UP (Venturers/Sea Scouts) - Session(s) are in person ON OCTOBER 19 in SAN DIEGO.

5) What to Bring ON RACE DAY(S): 10 essentials for day on the water + BLUE CARD(s) + Camp Chair.

6) Each Race costs approximately $50.00/racer.

7) The Long Sleeved Moisture-Wicking Race Shirt costs $50 each - manufactured by an official BSA licensee - ClassB.com - WILL BE DISTRIBUTED ON OCTOBER 5 RACE DAY FOR OPTION A AND OPTION B PROGRAM REGISTRANTS. Option C Registrant will receive their shirt on the race day they chose at registration.

8) WOODEN PADDLES (21 oz) AND LIFE VESTS ARE PROVIDED AT EVERY RACE BY THE RACE ORGANIZERS.

9) Wooden Paddles (21 oz) and life vests are provided at every practice session at LA Harbor Dragon Boat Club.

10) SIGN UP SCOUT USING THEIR NAME AND THEIR EMAIL ADDRESS.

11) FIRST PRACTICE DAY FOR OPTION A AND OPTION B REGISTRANTS - BRING COMPLETED ACTIVITY WAIVERS + MEDICAL FORM AB TO CHECK IN WITH DRAGONAUTS CREW 333:

12) ANYONE SIGNING UP FOR EITHER OPTION A OR OPTION B MUST EITHER (A) SEND A COMPLETED BSA YOUTH APPLICATION TO [email protected] BY SEPTEMBER 21, 2024 -OR- (B) BRING TO GIVE TO CREW ADVISOR ON SEPTEMBER 22, 2024.

13) PRACTICE SESSIONS WITH LA HARBOR DRAGON BOAT CLUB IS $75.00 FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR AND NOT INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM COST - ALL RACERS WHO CHOOSE TO PRACTICE WITH THE TEAM IN SAN PEDRO - WILL PAY THE FEE DIRECTLY TO LA HARBOR DRAGON BOAT CLUB BY SEPTEMBER 29, 2024.

Founded by EAGLE SCOUTS from 5 different BSA Councils: Western Los Angeles County Council, Greater Los Angeles Area Council, California Inland Empire Council, Long Beach Area Council, and Las Vegas Area Council in 2021.

Dragonauts Crew 333 usually meets on the FIRST and THIRD SUNDAYS all over Southern California in Lunch-and-Learns between 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM.
