2023 Weeklong Trail ride into Houston is just around the corner.Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR) is an INVITE ONLY for us trail ride groups that partake in this awesome ride. Come join us in a family oriented fun ride as we follow our old western trade routes into Houston. The route is listed below, and we will have updates getting closer to the first days of the ride.
Our preregistration party is February 4th and has an event created on our page, if you want info on it.
If you were on last year's ride. It's the same route as last year.
If you are new WELCOME, we are happy you are here!
Every one must be in collared long sleeve traditional western shirt, jeans, and boots (no hey dudes or tennis shoes). Men/boys must wear cowboy hat, women optional but recommended. NO HOODIES, NO LOGOS ON JACKETS, NO BEANIES, and NO CAMO any where!

ARRIVAL -Fri. Feb 17th - 6pm overnight stay

This will be where you get your buttons (must be worn while riding on your outer most clothing) No button no riding per HLSR,
Sign up - Registration form, 2 HLS&R indemnity forms (original signatures - no copies), give your 2 copies of your Negative coggins, & 2 copies of your equine 45 day health certificate.

Every morning we move to the next location. Busses Load at 7:00am depart at 7:15 sharp, to bring back to your horse/wagon.
**They will not wait on you so please be on time.

ALSO GET YOUR HANG TAGS / PASS FOR MEMORIAL PARK Crystal and Maria will be set up under the pavilion for a few hours to hand them out.
PARTY NIGHT. We can sleep in the next day.
DAY 5 - Thurs. Feb. 23rd LAYOVER DAY - no ride. GET HANG TAGS AND LINE UP IN YOUR GROUP YOU WANT TO BE NEXT TO AT MEMORIAL PARK.
1pm! Take trucks and trailers to Memorial Park to camp overnight.
leave tack needed for the next day in the Conex/pod. Tie horses/ mules and leave enough food and hay for overnight. (Leave what you can carry on horseback the next day). Animals and wagons will be left over night at Orange Show that is gated and will have security.
** Remember ABSOUTLEY NO TIEING TO TREES IN MEMORIAL PARK. Bring rope or anything else to make a cross line to tie horses too, keep the horses closest to the tree tied far enough to not get to the tree. Please and thank you.
