Join the Stoughton Norwegian Dancers in celebrating Syttende Mai this year! This year marks the group's 70th anniversary and Syttende Mai will be their last local performance before the group's 6th tour of Norway this June!Performances include:
Wednesday, May 17 | 12 p.m. @ WI State Capitol Building (King St. Entrance)
Saturday, May 20 | 2 p.m. street performance under the Festival Tent at corner of S. Division and Main St (near McGlynn's Pharmacy)
Saturday, May 20 | 3:45 p.m. @ Community Building (320 North St)
Saturday, May 20 | 5:30 p.m. Alumni performance @ Community Building
Sunday, May 21 | 3:45 p.m. Senior Send Off Performance @ Community Building
In addition to watching several exciting performances, be sure to support the dancers by visiting the Norwegian Dancer Parent food trailer, which will be located on the corner of S. Division and Main St., or at River Bluff Middle School for a special luncheon on Saturday and Sunday of the festival. Yummy treats and Norwegian specialties (including lefse, meatballs and varme pølsa) will be available for purchase.
Raffle tickets are available for purchase at several local businesses between now and the festival weekend — 1 ticket for $20. The top prize is $500 CASH!
All proceeds will benefit the Stoughton Norwegian Dancers.
