The Sun Run is BACK and will be held August 3-5, 2023 on our home waters of Lake St. Clair, Michigan. Sunsation Nation will be taking over the downtown of New Baltimore, MI on Thursday, August 3rd. Please review details below carefully before committing to display your boat.
Street Party Boat Show (Thursday, August 3rd)
12:00 PM: Move-In Open: Downtown New Baltimore, MI
Display spaces are first come, first serve. Once the streets are full, entry will be closed.
All boats displayed will be required to remain on display until 8:00 PM.
All trucks must be left with boats for duration of street party according to local fire ordinance.
Street party haul-out begins at 8:00 PM with streets being cleared by midnight.
Owners are responsible for move-in and haul-out. Sunsation employees will not be responsible for helping you park or move your boat at anytime during the street party.
Owners are responsible for ensuring their rig (Boat+Truck+Trailer) are show ready. Sunsation employees will not be available to assist with detailing boats during the street party.
While this event is open to the public, Sunsation owners and their crew will have access to a VIP area that will provide refreshments and appetizers between 2:00 PM-5:00 PM. We encourage all event guests to visit one of the many restaurants and shops downtown New Baltimore has to offer during the event.
2:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Sunsation Owners VIP Tent Open Reserved exclusively for Sunsation Owners & Crew
2:00 PM - 8:00 PM: DJ, Dunk Tank, Kids Zone Open
2:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Sunsation Apparel Trailer Open
5:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Stroll The Streets (Public Welcome)
8:00 PM: Move-Out Begins
12:00 AM: Streets Cleared
The Sun Run - Friday, August 4th
Start: Cabana Blue - Clay Township, MI
8:30 AM: Arrive at Cabana Blue
8:30 AM-11:00 AM: Breakfast available ($18/ea.)
9:30 AM: Mandatory Drivers Meeting
11:30 AM: National Anthem
11:45 AM: Start Your Engines
12:00 PM: Depart Cabana Blue
STOP 1: Hook - St. Clair Shores, MI
1:30 PM: Arrive at Hook
1:30-3:30 PM: Drinks and food available for purchase. Dock party hosted by Unriehl Performance.
3:30 PM: Depart Hook
STOP 2: Choose Your Adventure:
Option A: After departing Hook, run to downtown Detroit for a lap around Belle Isle and a photo in front of the Renaissance Center (GM Building). From here, head to Brown's Waterfront Bar & Grill.
Option B: After departing Hook, run straight to Brown's Waterfront Bar & Grill for the final stop.
If or when Brown's fills up or runs out of docking space, Sun Runners are encouraged to explore other local restaurants or kick-back in one of the many local bays.
